The Urban Developer has shared an article with its readers featuring an overview of Cbus Property’s 1 William Street development in Brisbane’s CBD, accompanied by brief profile pieces on a selection of the Cbus team involved in the construction of the project. The 1WS commercial office tower, scheduled for completion in late 2016, will provide office accommodation for 5,400 of Queensland’s public servants from 21 governmental agencies, including Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and members of Cabinet.
The 43 level A Grade building has been developed in a previously under-utilised area of the city on the site of a government carpark and forms part of the State Government’s revitalisation of the precinct, which also includes the Queens Wharf Brisbane development. Designed by global firm Woods Bagot, 1WS comprises approximately 11,000 sqm NLA including 1,100 sqm of retail tenancies, car parking for 318 vehicles, daylight and views to 360 degrees, sky garden and workspace technology designed to enhance collaboration and productivity. The project team are targeting a 5.0 Star NABERS Energy Rating and a minimum of 5.0 Star Green Star Office Design Rating (V3) for the development when complete.
Calder Consultants team members James Calder and Andrea Egert provided the 1WS team with workplace strategy services throughout the project, with the floorplate for the building designed by Woods Bagot and James Calder.
